Community Dinner

 

Date/Time: Every 4th Sunday of the month, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

 

Carolyn Johnson is serving as Coordinator currently and we added a clothes/household items give-away ministry headed by Jai Ford. We have increased the number of volunteers who assist with the dinner each month and have expanded our monthly menus. Our desserts are provided by Bernice Taylor who heads the church’s Bread Ministry. Danita Williams coordinated a rebate program recently with Kroger to help underwrite our dinner.

 

On average we serve approximately 75 men/women/children two meals per month and distribute a lot of clothes and household items monthly.

 

We invite all members and friends of Asbury North United Methodist Church to join us to cook, serve or share bread with our guests. We also need your extra plastic bags/shopping bags/garbage bags and your clothes donations. You can also support this ministry with a cash donation.
